Alright, let’s take a moment for the official stuff. We’re not big on legal jargon — we’re all about care, connection, and creating something meaningful for you. But it’s important to share a few clear details so you know exactly what to expect when you order your locket.

Writing this wasn’t our favourite part (we’d much rather be in the studio making!), but having things in writing helps everyone feel more comfortable. So here it is — the need-to-know info, written with the same care and warmth we put into every Dela piece.

By using our website and placing an order, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are governed by the laws of our jurisdiction, and any disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts in that jurisdiction. In no event will Dela Lockets be held responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use (or inability to use) our website or products, even if we’ve been warned about such risks.

All content, designs, and images on our website are the property of Dela Lockets and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Unauthorised use, reproduction, or distribution of this material without permission is prohibited. Product photos are courtesy of H. Noll and R. Harrison, and are the exclusive property of Dela Lockets.

We may update these terms at any time. By using our site, you agree to the most current version.

HOW IT WORKS

At Dela, we specialise in turning your cherished photographs into beautiful lockets. To get started, we’ll need you to upload a digital image. We accept common formats like jpg, png, and tiff (up to 1MB). Most photos will upload easily, but if you run into trouble, just email your image to help@delalockets.co.nz along with your name, shipping address, and locket choice.

Once we get your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email (check your spam folder if it doesn’t show up right away!).

Here’s how we make your locket:

  • We resize your photo to fit your chosen locket, then cut it to perfection.

  • We carefully pour small-batch resin over the photo to seal and protect it.

  • Pouring can only be done one side at a time, so it’ll take a minimum of two days for the resin to cure.

Once the resin is set (usually 24–48 hours), we clean, polish, attach the chain, and package your locket for shipment. Typically, your order will ship within 5–7 business days.

If you have chosen an ash-filled locket, we will ask you to send a small amount of ashes to our Auckland studio. We only need a tiny amount to create your keepsake, and full details for sending will be provided after your purchase. If it’s easier, you can arrange for your funeral director to safely deliver the ashes to us directly.

In short: we turn your photos or ashes into timeless keepsakes by sealing them in resin inside our high-quality lockets. The end result? A piece of jewellery you'll treasure for years, as long as you take good care of it.

PRICING

Prices for our lockets are subject to change based on material costs, like the price of gold and silver. While we aim to keep our lockets at the same price, we reserve the right to adjust them as needed. Any changes will be communicated clearly, and we’ll always strive to keep things fair for our customers and our team.

ORDER ACCEPTANCE

We reserve the right to refuse any order for any reason. If we cancel your order, we’ll reach out to you using the contact details provided to explain the situation and provide a refund, if applicable.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All designs and content on our site are owned by Dela Lockets and protected by intellectual property laws. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or use of any of our materials is strictly prohibited.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

We cannot be held liable for any indirect or incidental damages resulting from your use or inability to use our website or products. We make every effort to provide a smooth, enjoyable experience, but sometimes things are outside of our control.
